Exploring the Built Environment — Real Estate, Design, and Construction
About the program
Have you ever wondered what it takes to turn an idea into a real building? From sketching the first design to cutting the ribbon at the grand opening, every new project brings together experts in design, engineering, construction, and real estate development.
In this one-week course, you’ll explore the full process of creating a building from concept to completion, and discover exciting college and career opportunities along the way. You’ll meet professionals in architecture, engineering, construction management, and real estate who will share their experiences, career journeys, and insights into how our built environment comes to life.
Working in teams, you’ll take on the challenge of planning a new building project. Together, you’ll design, budget, and schedule your project, applying real-world problem-solving and collaboration skills. The week will culminate with a team presentation to a panel of industry professionals who will provide feedback and inspiration for your next steps.
